Can I get my Documents back out later?
Yes, all accounts have a full data export facility built in.
How do I upgrade to a paid plan?
You can easily upgrade to a paid plan within the app itself after signing up, under the admin menu.
What payment methods do you accept?
For paid plans DocControl accepts credit cards online from Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card, and you will be billed in US Dollars. DocControl does not accept cheques, postal orders, or pay by phone.
Can I change plans?
Absolutely. You can change plans at any time from within the DocControl application. With any upgrade or downgrade in plans, you will be credited pro rata for the time remaining in the current billing cycle.
How do I retire a document?
Click on Request Retirement. A request for retirement will be forwarded to all current document approvers.
How do I access older version of a document?
Administrators and document owners can access older versions of the document the “Document History” section.
Which type of documents can be added?
Technically any type of document can be added to DocControl, but to take advantage of the auto-PDF functionality, the following DocTypes are recommended: MSOffice (Word, Powerpoint and Excel), OpenOffice, LibreOffice, PDF, Image files (JPG, GIF, PNG and others). Support for additional file-types are added regularly!
What is a template?
A template is a special area of DocControl where approved document templates can be stored. To start a new document using a template, simply click on the template, add a name select a document group!
How do I manage Access to documents?
Administrators can control access to document groups by assigning privileges to users and user groups. Read/ Write and View only privileges can be assigned.
